Essay I. Summary of your activities in your contents including new contents created (one paragraph). Provide all the hyperlinks (clickable) of new contents you have created this week.
This week, I implemented Google Tag Manager (GTM) and successfully connected it to my Google Analytics 4 (GA4) property to enhance tracking capabilities. I removed the previous direct GA4 installation to prevent duplicate data collection and deployed the GTM container snippet through WordPress. After verifying proper installation using Tag Assistant, I created and tested a custom GA4 event named home_page_visit to track homepage engagement. In addition to technical implementation, I also created two new blog posts for audience engagement: Why Seattle Is a Global Hub for Innovation, Technology, and Creativity and Best Outdoor Adventures in Washington State: Hiking, Mountains, and Coastal Escapes. These posts were properly categorized and added to the menu structure to support both general audience navigation and grading requirements.

Essay II. Summary of your "Event" in GA4 (add a screenshot) (one paragraph)
For this assignment, I created a custom GA4 event called home_page_visit using Google Tag Manager. Instead of relying only on automatically collected events such as page_view, this custom event allows me to isolate and measure traffic specifically to my homepage. I configured the event using a GA4 Event tag connected to my GA4 Configuration tag and triggered it using a Page View condition based on the homepage path. After publishing the container, I verified the event in GA4’s Realtime report, where it appeared under Event count by Event name. This demonstrates successful implementation of event tracking beyond default measurement and shows how custom user behavior can be monitored strategically.
Essay III. Find and describe one of best use cases using custom events in GA4 (one paragraph)
One of the best use cases for custom events in GA4 is tracking meaningful user engagement actions that indicate intent rather than simple page visits. For example, a website owner could create custom events to track when users click a “Contact Us” button, download a resource, watch a video past a certain percentage, or reach a confirmation page. These actions provide deeper behavioral insights than standard page_view metrics because they reflect user interest and potential conversion behavior. In a non-ecommerce environment like my site, tracking targeted navigation behavior, such as homepage engagement, helps identify traffic patterns and measure content effectiveness. Custom events therefore allow more strategic data analysis aligned with site goals.
